My thoughts on The Bourne Supremacy... Quick summary: See it...
Tonya and I went to see the Bourne Supremacy this weekend with my father. All in all it was a good movie.
I was one of the smaller pool of people that saw both movies on opening weekend. The Bourne identity was much more of a surprise. The trailers told less of the story and the movie was much more suspenseful as Bourne learned who and what he was.
Supremacy was more of an action packed movie. It was also more of a look inside Bourne, rather then Bourne simply reacting to stimuli as in Identidy.
I don't want to give away too much but the best line in the movie:
"Who is he taking orders from now?"
"The scary version? Himself."
My final thought on this is about the special effects. In a time when everyone has moved to computer effects (ala the matrix where I felt it was appropriate since they were in fact inside a computer), it is great to see a movie where most of the effects seemed to be traditional stunts including the driving scenes. I never got the feeling that I was watching something that was done by some effects guy sitting down with his new copy of Renderman and Maya to produce some "amazing" eye candy.
