Our weekend...

Well... lets see, what did I do this weekend? Well for starters Tonya and I had a relaxing and chill Saturday. We slept in and further I napped most of the day. We then dropped off some of her boxes at the garage of the new place. Sunday, was a slightly more active day. We went to brunch with Shane, Alyssa, and Shelly. Then we got distracted from getting ready for the drive up to Sacramento to see my parents (sorry mom!). We did some house chores and some grocery shopping. Monday was a little different. Tonya got up at the way too early in the AM and was going stir crazy so she got me up at like 10:30am (What's the point of a day off with no set plans if you can't sleep in?) We spent most of the day shopping, I need a file or two for some plastic I was trying to shape and Tonya really really wanted to buy the new Alanis Morissette CD so called chaos. We spent most of the day running around and eventually went to home depot to get the files and to get some hardware to try and finish my many many month long trailer project. There we bumped in to Mike and Bernadette and Mike's parents. We chatted for a while and then went on our way. We went home so I could wash up before dinner (some of the bolts I bought were quite dirty and my hands were black with dirt). We decided to eat dinner at Sue's Indian Cuisine. We had our regular dinner of lamb samosas, lamb pasanda with rice and garlic nan, and two mango lasies. To top off the evening we went to see Mean Girls at Shoreline. Then at 11:45pm sitting in our bed on my lap I said to Tonya: "We had a pretty good day today. It was pretty plain, with nothing exciting or amazing but it was really really nice. I look forward to many more days like this with you. Will you marry me?"

She said yes...

This wasn't entirely out of the blue. We've been talking about it for a while and in fact we have even been looking at rings and such.

No, I haven't given her a ring yet, but we have picked out the setting or more to the point she picked out a setting.

I should also point out before she does, that she told me I wasn't allowed to get any more motorcycles until she got a ring... See, I really had to propose I didn't have a choice! ;-)

We have even set a tentative date. Next year memorial day weekend. It is the weekend we met, the weekend we got engaged, and hopefully the weekend we will get married.
