Volunteering

I was selected to volunteer with the Support Network for Battered Women as a domestic violence counselor. I'm very excited!!!! I'm finally to be doing something that is close to my career goals. For the next 2 months, I will be doing training every monday night and 3 saturdays to total 40 hours. Then in June I begin as a counselor. Obviously since I'm voulenteering I won't be paid....but this will help me get into grad school and I was told that when I'm ready to do start interning to get my license that working there would be a definite possibility. My volunteering will be evenings and weekends as to not interfere with my job. And the nice thing is that I can do it from home. They give me a pager and the service pages me and tells me who I'm supposed to call. Yay for me!!!!!!
