Books...

I just finished reading Lolita by Nabakov. It was interesting. I had trouble digesting it until I read his message at the end, that clearly states he didn't write this for analysis or for a lesson. It isn't meant to be a story of pornography, nor is it a story to condemn. It is for intensive purposes just a story, for the reader to experience something different. In that context he did a great job. The book is definitely an experience. Nabakov does a good job putting you inside the protagonist.

Last night Shane and I watched Biker Boys. It was not nearly as bad as I expected. The ending was weak but it was a pretty good movie. I can see why it didn't do all that well in the theater. It is character driven and didn't have a lot of amazing unbelievable special effects. Instead they hired some good stunt riders to do sport bike stunts. The stunts weren't bad but certainly weren't better then any of the outlaw videos of sport bike stunts.

This entry is brought to you by the Dana St. Roasting Company Mountain View Ca. where I am sitting enjoying a Huge Honking Chai (my term not their's...)
