Countdown to the Apocalpyse: Update

Red Sox trail the Yankees 1-2 in the ALCS
Cubs lead with the Marlins 3-1 in the NLCS

The Cubs win but the Sox lose, so it's looking more and more like the Apocalypse will be averted. The Cubs will most likely face the Yankees, which isn't nearly an interesting enough matchup to be called an Apocalypse.

The Sox blew up in familiar style. To recap:
- Pedro gives up a couple of runs so he skips a pitch of Karim Garcia's back
- Garcia tries to take out Walker while running the basepath
- Pedro points into the Yankees dugout and gestures towards his head, most likely saying something like "I'll hit you in the head"
- Manny gets mad at a Clemens pitch he shouldn't have resulting in the benches clearing
- While both benches were cleared Don Zimmer lunged at Pedro and got his 72-year-old butt thrown to the ground. Zimmer spends the rest of the game in the dugout with a bandaid on the bridge of his nose and a sprained hip.
- Jeff Nelson gets mad at a Red Sox groundskeeper who cheered a little too much while in the Yankees bullpen and pounds him into the ground with the help of Garcia (exactly what happened is still in dispute). Garcia has to leave the game with a cut hand.
- and all of this happened with out the notorious Clemens doing anything but pitching well

I thought that I had been to the most notorious Red Sox/Yankees ALCS game (Game 4 of the 1999 series, where the game was delayed when fans began pelting the Yankees bullpen with batteries and throwing cups onto the field). I think the Red Sox have outdone themselves.
